Local Culture: A Journal of the Front Porch Republic is published semi-annually. It is dedicated to the conditions that best conduce to human flourishing: the virtues, political and economic decentralization, localism, liberty, respect for natural limits, tradition—especially the humane tradition in arts and letters—and living arrangements built to human scale. We welcome you to subscribe below and read along! To whet your appetite, you can peruse our archives and read the editor’s opening letter.

Among other topics, forthcoming issues will consider civility, John Lukacs, Jane Jacobs, and Russell Kirk. New subscribers will receive the Spring and Fall issues of volume 6. We also invite you to contribute to this exciting venture and our other on-going efforts.

If new subscribers would like back issues, they can email Jeff Bilbro. Print copies of the Food and Drink, Roger Scruton, Civil Dissent, Higher Ed, and Arts of Region and Place issues are available for $5 to new subscribers. We are out of hard copies of the first three issues, but PDF copies are available to download here.
