Dear Readers,

In the coming months, Front Porch Republic will be investing more resources in our website, events, and other ventures. The site will feature more writers (including some that are quite well known) and more frequent content updates. We have a few other things up our sleeve, as well.

Many of you have supported FPR in the past—and for that we are grateful. We are looking for people who will stand with us as we articulate an alternative to both the individualism and the statism that characterize our contemporary political discourse.

Subtly, slowly, but surely, that discourse is already changing thanks in part to what readers like you have made possible here at FPR. Some observers regard the current cultural moment as depressing. We see it as exciting. New horizons, new possibilities are within sight. The potential audience for a more communitarian, more place-based way of thinking is growing every day—and, thus, so are the prospects for authentic cultural renewal.

So here’s what we are doing: For $50 per year, we invite you to join us by becoming a Sustaining Member of the Front Porch Republic. In return, you will receive discounted admission to our annual conference.  Most importantly, you will know that you are a key part of this enterprise.

For those of you who have the means and desire to invest more substantially in the FPR project, a gift of $500 or more will make you a Porch Patron. In return, you will receive free admission to our annual conference, an invitation to a private dinner with other supporters and FPR writers, and an autographed copy of a recent book by an FPR writer.

Most importantly, please know that your support—at whatever level you can afford—is essential as we ramp up our efforts to foster healthy communities by promoting political decentralism, economic localism, and cultural regionalism.

Oh, and it’s all tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, of course. Front Porch Republic (FPR) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization. Make your donation, via PayPal, today. Or in the event that this link fails, click on the “Donate” button at the FPR front page (upper right).

Thank you so much for reading. And thank you for supporting this venture!

Yours,
