Happy Thanksgiving!
In keeping with tradition, President Obama has pardoned a Thanksgiving turkey. Although, given the fact that the runner-up turkey isn’t bound for a table either, the pardoned turkey might not feel so special. Just a few hours south of the Capitol, less-fortunate turkeys are being prepared for the holiday. And, given a recent turkey shortage, small-scale turkey farms may have an opportunity to increase their sales.
Meanwhile, retailers struggle to maintain a positive image while simultaneously remaining open for Thanksgiving Day during dinner hours. And CNN questions whether the Black Friday deals are worth the hubbub they cause.
