Clare Morell’s new book is The Tech Exit: A Practical Guide to Freeing Kids and Teens from Smartphones.
She has graciously offered to come out to Fairfax on Saturday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss her book with parents, thinkers, and educators who share her concerns.
Please contact Ben Christenson at Ben.christenson@icloud.com for location. Spots are limited.
The Tech Exit is the most honest, research-grounded book on tech and kids ever published. If you were concerned for kids after Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation, you need to read this book to know what to do.
Morell is a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a veteran of the Bill Barr DOJ, and a mother of 3.
The evening will include some Q&A with the author as well as a chance to meet other like-minded parents in the area.
There will be icebreakers, name tags, and wine—everything you need for a good mixer!
One note on children—some topics we will cover are mature. I would hate your son or daughter to learn how easily they can circumvent parental controls or how dark the internet can be at this event.
So you are welcome to bring your infants or any children that you think can handle adult discussion.
Don’t be late!
